The following questions are based on the learning outcomes for the Korean Major. Please take a moment and reflect on how these outcomes match your educational and career goals.

*1. Learning about Korean history, literature, and culture is a high priority for me.
 
*2. Learning how to speak and understand Korean proficiently in both formal and informal settings is a high priority for me.
 
*3. Learning how to read texts in Korean script and Sino-Korean texts (text with Chinese characters in mixed script) is a high priority for me.
 
*4. Learning "attack skills" that will help me be able to read Sino-Korean characters in the context of mixed-script texts that I have not previously learned is a high priority for me.
 
*5. Learning how to analyze and discuss major literary works from the pre-modern and modern period in Korean is a high priority for me.
 
*6. Learning how to translate proficiently both literary and non-fiction texts is a high priority for me.

*8. Learning how to read and discuss pre-modern forms of the Korean language is a high priority for me.
 
*9. Learning how to analyze and discuss the structure of the Korean language, including phonology, morphology, semantics, and pragmatics is a high priority for me.
 
*10. Learning how to use reference works and dictionaries is a high priority for me.
 
*11. Learning self-managing learning skills that will enable me to keep learning Korean throughout my life is a high priority for me.
