The following questions are based on the learning outcomes for the Chinese Major. Please take a moment and reflect on how these outcomes match your educational and career goals.

*1. Learning how to speak and understand Chinese in face-to-face interactions in both formal and informal settings is a high priority for me.
 
*2. Learning to understand the cultural and social implications of communication in a Chinese-speaking environment, including non-linguistic and behavioral aspects, is a high priority for me.
 
*3. Learning to understand television and radio news broadcasts is a high priority for me.
 
*4. Learning how to read a variety of written genres in Chinese--e.g., journalistic writing, literature--is a high priority for me.
